sleep, sleep
The most surprising of last night's dreams was finding out Dad had purchased a bunch of anti-Harry Potter propaganda off eBay and was reselling it. The books had HP-like covers but with the word 'Unsafe' integrated into the artwork and they were in the floor of the car where I was sitting. Like this wasn't bad enough, the worst part was that all of his arguments had nothing to do with religious issues (not that Dad cares about such things IRL), but had to do with those things that we all, as fans, argue about for fun. Like why did such and such happen, what will it mean in the future, etc.

Except when I woke up I realized none of those things had happened in the books. Things like Harry sweeping up for the Dursleys ('so why didn't the broomstick fly?') and a thorn jumping into Harry's body ('so why was he safe around plants before?') and a big storm that gave Harry a bunch of powers ('so why didn't the other storms affect him this way?').

There was another dream where Mike and I had the chance to live in a garage apartment that seemed to be the garage apartment behind a house I lived in about 12 years ago, except my parents owned it. On the inside it was a lot like the aforementioned house, but also like this other house I sometimes dream about. It was very ratty but I tried to see how we could deep clean and paint it. It was appealing for Mike and I to finally get a home going together, but then I said 'no, I can't live here again' and decided we should continue to hold out for a nicer home all out own. Mom and Dad seemed to own the garage apartment. Then it changed to definitely be like the old house because as I was leaving I quipped to Dad (who was letting me look around) about never being able to put up with the terrible paintwork. (IRL I did a very bad, very colourful paint job on many of the rooms, but stuck by my guns that drippy aquas, greens, blacks, and dark blues were better than smoker-yellowed whites.)
