drop and give me 32
Sit-ups are this month's theme. On the first of February I gave up chocolate. On the first of March I gave up 'obvious dairy.' On the first of April I added the task of doing my age in sit-ups every day. Or similar abdominal exercises, since 'sit-up' implies more upward motion than my flabby midsection can currently command.

So far things are going well, save the possibly unrelated 'toenail incidents' described elsewhere. I'm doing monthly measurements but not getting on a scale for awhile, so as already mentioned any weight loss I report is to be taken as a general indicator and not gospel. It's derived from presumed energy needs as calculated by FitDay.com, minus caloric intake as alleged by product nutrition labels. But, as far as general indicators go, as of right now I've lost one stone in just over a month. Yay me!

I'm still really enjoying the ST:TNG: DVDs. Now I want the whole collection. Budget-budget-budget. What's more important: escapism to an utopian futuristic world or Christmas in Australia? Or paying bills and saving money? That's what I thought.

Things on my mind that I don't feel like pondering at length here:

  • whether there are two meanings to being a 'galaxy-class' starship
  • how I sleep at night knowing hypertree.com is in such a desperate need of a makeover but I have to finish the database first
  • if I'll ever finish the trip report
  • if I'll ever write a trip report for the second trip
  • how that galaxy that collided with the Milky Way is affecting us
  • if returning my library books before the sun comes up means they won't be overdue
  • what to do about the four or five watermelon plants in that little strawberry pot
  • if I'll ever be able to brush my hair without getting a sinkful of 1-2 inch weak ends
  • if Phros would be happier living with me
  • work
  • work
  • work infinity

So, no news really.
