However, Buffy, Willow, and Xander showed up at the door later, willing to make peace. I remember being impressed that they would make the first move, when they'd been so willing to blow me off before. Cordelia was somehow involved. I remember her in her cheerleading uniform in the distance and her not being interested in mending fences. So, I think I must have been Anya in this scenario.
(Which is great because, frankly, she is the best. Buffy blows hot/cold as the plot necessitates. Willow will never regain her former sweetness. Xander has officially become a big galoot, dreadfully dull in his version of responsibility. Anya is more human, vulnerable, and inquisitive than any of them. Damn straight they should be coming 'round to apologize.)
So anyway. I remember thinking it was all too little, too late. And then I woke up. I have no way of spicing up this obviously dregs-of-the-TV-watching-day dream other than to pretend it's a big prophecy for some future episode.
(Except it more or less already happened. Too bad I didn't dream of Xander transforming into his cheerful, earnest, witty self of a few seasons back. It makes me wonder if vengeance demons are allowed to manipulate humans for good instead of evil.)
