Before the House
(This room is directly south of the previous one)
Flowers grow cheerfully, without pattern or plan, in every colour known to both sunrises and evening skies. They recede only for the worn path to the door, and for the faded patches where quilts lain for thunderstorms and bare feet sacrifice the grasses to dances with and without drawn swords. Ruddy tomato bushes and sprawling watermelon vines stay bluntly cropped, and small sacks of duck feed stack neatly on the steps leading to the door. A windchime, inlaid with squirrels and grackles hewn from rocky quartz, sways soundlessly and catches the light.Obvious exits: North - On the Mallardbanks
South - Within
West - The Daisy Meadow
(You have to assume these purple-y words don't suck so much in the context of a text-based game.)
