The new format really isn't great for these short posts, but here I am on spring break, in great need of a Claritin (which I'll sort out as soon as I get off my Wikipedia-reading tush and find some suitably less comfortable public clothing), and I just have to share.
You know how you're always hearing that the A-list celebs embarrassingly prostitute themselves on Japanese television for the most mundane products? And once in awhile you see one of the ads, and it's all ha ha, look at the aloof untouchable cheerily endorsing the vitamin-enriched rice milk drink? And because of all of this perspective maybe you enjoyed Lost in Translation just a little bit more?
Okay, well, all that said and absorbed into my jaded crust of media literacy, I was still suprised to see Jodie Foster shilling for Honda and Harrison Ford guzzling cheap beer for big bucks, to name but two of many examples.
