Just a heads-up that Mike, using only his brain and ingredients on hand, stood in the middle of the kitchen tonight and successfully reverse-engineered one of his much-missed Aussie treats, The Sausage Roll.
No more pressing his face on the freezer at the British Market, sighing over a puny pack of $8 sausage rolls that aren't even all that. These are not only economical, but apparently perfect.
(Mike can't sit down, he's so happy, but I think I deserve some credit for just happening to have puff pastry in the house. Finally, buying ingredients for recipes then never making them pays off!)
