Except That's Not Quite Where the Story Ends

Breaking news since the last post, er, four or so hours ago:

• It's "National Flip Flop Day" at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. We're drinking our free smoothies right now. (They're huge!) Bonus? Now open 24 hours.
• We now have two sets of nested ceramic mixing bowls, compliments of Red Rock Station. (Just in time for the dips!)
• Unexpected Knowledge: Eva Longoria is really short. But, in the brief moments that she and her husband were herded past us at Red Rock, she seemed friendly.
• Expected Knowledge: We had to ask the tourist with the camera who that was. Mike says it doesn't count if we have to ask. I say it counts double.
• The Midsummer Fire Festival is on in World of Warcraft, and this year it lasts two weeks AND is full of games and neat-o rewards. (As opposed to running around for one night last year, dutifully just sort of talking to people next to the bonfires.)
• Finally, remember those SPCA hamsters I mentioned in the last post? Well, we kind of sort of definitely adopted two of the four and one is probably knocked up and, yes, I know any more hamsters and I'll have to start subscribing to homeschooling newsletters and draping calico over the hamitats.
